Support

Support for PuppyPup is handled by e-mail: support.puppypup@gmail.com. There is no contact form on this site on purpose — a form would mean collecting your details here, and there is no reason to.

Most answers are below. If yours is not, write to us and include the details listed under “Writing to us”.

If your dog needs help right now

This is not an emergency service

PuppyPup support cannot help with a sick or injured dog. Contact your veterinarian or a local emergency veterinary service directly. See the medical disclaimer.

Writing to us

Write to support.puppypup@gmail.com. To get a useful answer on the first reply, include:

  • the e-mail address of your PuppyPup account,
  • the app version — open the app, go to Settings, and the version is shown at the bottom of the screen,
  • your iOS version and device model,
  • what you expected to happen and what happened instead,
  • a screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.

Never send us your password

PuppyPup support will never ask for your password, for a verification code, or for a photo of an identity document. If a message claiming to be from PuppyPup asks for any of those, it is not from us.

Creating an account

You can register with an e-mail address and a password, or sign in with Google or with Apple. All three lead to the same kind of account.

  • Use an address you can actually open — registration requires verification.
  • If registration says the address is already in use, you probably signed in with Google or Apple before. Try that method instead.

E-mail verification

After registering, PuppyPup sends a verification message. If it does not arrive:

  1. Wait a few minutes — delivery is usually quick, but not always.
  2. Check the spam or junk folder, and any “promotions” tab.
  3. Check for a typo in the address you entered.
  4. Request a new message from the app.
  5. If it still does not arrive, write to support.puppypup@gmail.com from the address you registered with.

Password recovery

  1. On the sign-in screen, choose password recovery.
  2. Enter the e-mail address of your account.
  3. Open the message and follow the link. The link is valid for a limited time.
  4. Set a new password that you do not use anywhere else.

If you originally signed in with Google or Apple, there is no PuppyPup password to reset — use the same provider you signed in with.

Google Sign-In

PuppyPup asks Google only for your account identifier, your e-mail address and basic profile information. It never asks for Gmail, Drive, Contacts or Calendar.

  • If sign-in fails, check that you are choosing the Google account you expect.
  • You can review or remove the connection in your Google Account, under connections to third-party apps.
  • Removing the connection stops you signing in that way. It does not delete your PuppyPup account — see account deletion.

Sign in with Apple

  • You can share your real e-mail address or let Apple give PuppyPup a private relay address. Both work.
  • If you chose the relay address, keep forwarding enabled in your Apple Account settings, otherwise service e-mail will not reach you.
  • You can review or revoke the connection in iOS Settings, under your Apple Account and “Sign in with Apple”.
  • Revoking it stops you signing in that way. It does not delete your PuppyPup account — see account deletion.

Family and access

  • Invite a family member by e-mail from the family screen. They need a PuppyPup account to accept.
  • Each member has a role that decides what they can see and change.
  • You can grant access to a single dog without adding the person to your family — useful for a dog sitter.
  • Granted access can be temporary. Set an expiry date when you create it.
  • You can withdraw access at any time. Withdrawal applies from that moment onward.

Dogs and records

  • A family can have up to six of its own dogs. Dogs you care for but do not own are additional.
  • Only a name is required to create a profile. Everything else can be filled in later.
  • Feeding schedules, treatments, vaccinations, medicines, allergies, chronic conditions and medical episodes are all optional.
  • Deleting a dog removes its records and images. That cannot be undone.

Photos of documents

You can photograph a paper record and keep it with the dog it belongs to. Two things worth knowing:

  • A photographed document often shows your own name, address and phone number. Crop the image if you would rather not store those.
  • Anyone you grant access to that dog can see the image. Check the access list before uploading something sensitive.

Reminders

If reminders do not arrive, check that notifications are allowed for PuppyPup in iOS Settings, that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not filtering them, and that the schedule is actually saved.

Reminder delivery depends on your device and its settings, so it is not guaranteed. Do not rely on a reminder alone for something that matters.

Deleting your account

Deletion is available inside the app and does not require writing to support. Account and data deletion explains exactly what happens.

Privacy requests

Questions about your data, corrections, or anything else covered by the Privacy Policy go to support.puppypup@gmail.com. Write from the address of your account, and describe what you would like — do not attach identity documents.

Reporting a problem

Bug reports are welcome at support.puppypup@gmail.com. Steps to reproduce the problem are more useful than a description of it. If you think you have found a security problem, say so in the subject line and please do not post it publicly before we have replied.
